Welcome to Camlad Apiaries

With apiaries locally in the Welsh Marches and Shropshire, our honey bees forage amongst the Spring flowers and crops, and later the bramble and summer flowers in local fields, hedgerows and gardens, producing flavoursome honeys full of character. The heather strewn Stiperstones and the Long Mynd provide forage for that very special crop without the stress to the bees of moving hives.

All honeys are produced by our own bees and are completely traceable. Camlad Apiaries do not buy in bulk honey from other sources and all our colonies are headed by homebred local queens. We are committed to planting appropriate forage and to advising landowners and gardeners on incorporating pollinator-friendly species. We are also involved in collaborative projects involving the native dark bee, as an entirely appropriate, hardy and thrifty bee suited to our highly changeable and challenging climate.

As well as selling delicious natural honeys, we are able to deliver education for beekeepers and talks for schools and community groups and are experienced and reliable swarm collectors.
